4 tips for selecting an MP3 player, part 1

4 tips for selecting an MP3 player
4 tips for selecting an MP3 player

Choosing an MP3 player was a much easier purchasing decision than it is today. Just a few years ago, only MP3 players played MP3 music. Nowadays, any man and his dog with a cell phone, laptop, or storage device can play MP3 music. Now that there are a few more things to consider, it is wise to think about a few topics before you go out on your budget (or try to save some money).

Part I - Do you need an MP3 player?

Probably the most important question to ask yourself. Why do you want one Does your cell phone already have an MP3 player? What about your laptop Why do you need it when you already have one? The only reason MP3 players exist on their own is that a cell phone is a much better device for making phone calls on the go, and an MP3 player is a much better device for playing MP3 music. . If there is a component in the role, there is a component in the role (i.e. quality and performance).

Part II - Do You Need an honest  MP3 Player?

Probably the second most important question to ask yourself. It sounds like a rhetorical question.

You want a good MP3 player but define "good". Do you want something that looks good, sounds good (probably a better word), or sounds good (or maybe all three)? Remember, people these days buy things for looks (looks / sounds great), performance (plays well), and quality (holds up well). All three cost something (although they aren't necessarily the same weight), and in general, you'll find that two out of three aren't bad. Sometimes big brands not only look good (Japanese designers like that), they sound good too (e.g. I have a Sony insert model here!), But can work well too. or quality. also (some say the iPod falls into that category, but I don't want to open another online forum about it). But most practical people start with performance or quality and just hope they can hide in the MP3 pocket of their branded clothing.
